The Wild Thing

This animation was created many years ago as a portfolio piece in collaboration with Beehive Design. It was a fun project and a great opportunity to work with other artists, combining illustration, 3D animation, art direction and sound to create something with a unique graphic style.

The buildings and sets used illustrated textures by Nadia Foerster, which gave the 3D environment its hand-drawn look. I created the animation in LightWave 3D, working under the art direction of Terry Lau, with audio by Puppy Machine Productions.

It’s always interesting looking back at older work like this. Beyond the animation itself, I remember the enjoyment of collaborating with other creative people and seeing all of those different elements come together in the finished piece.
